This conduction project, exclusively focused on vocality, comes from the histrionic strenght of this unusual ensemble, it was a real “coral instrument” to be played to heart’s content. The ductility of this extraordinary instrument turns me into an enthusiast painter, a little boy playing with colors in all their infinite shades. It’s like playing an harp, vocal cords are similar to its thin strings and they create a multidimensional universe. Directing this Chant was like managing the helm of a corsar shit, among tropical winds, sirens, mermen and sea monsters coming from Verne’s tales. Let go the fore-top-gallant sail and get lost in the roll, with the shores of a friendly land in the background.
